A Fresh & Delicious Dinner With Friends

Last night, Jasmine and I invited a few friends over to cook a meal with some items from our garden.

We began with a salad.  The lettuce, radishes, beets, mint, basil, and kale were from our garden, the carrots were from Farmhouse and the blueberries were from Broad Valley Orchard.

Next, we made pesto to put over our pasta.  Jasmine and I made some last week and loved it so much that we picked more basil from our garden to make more.

We also sauteed garlic, onions, kale, and eggplant (the kale was from PTF, and our friend Lisa brought the eggplant from home).

It was a delicious and nutritious meal.  We had plenty of leftovers (which Jas and I are eating for lunch today!)  Our friend Mike was nice enough to bring some fancy (and extremely tasty) cupcakes from the Gettysburg Cupcake Cafe.

Check out our new Recipes tab if you’re interested in cooking up what we made!  I look forward to more yummy meals using produce that I helped grow. 🙂  I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July!
