Our First Farmer’s Market!

We had the amazing opportunity this past Saturday to sell our produce at the Adams County Farmer’s Market at the Gettysburg Outlets.  It was a very long day, but we had a blast and sold almost all of our produce!  Here’s what the day looked like.

Jasmine, Kim, Elizabeth and I went up to the garden at 5:30am to harvest the veggies and herbs for market.

Next, we drove to Campus Kitchen to clean all of the veggies.  This took about 45 minutes (we had some help from Victoria, Uyen, and Omar!)

Finally, we drove to the Outlets around 8am (an hour and a half before the market started) to set up our stand.  We borrowed two canopies to cover our three tables, arranged our vegetables in baskets with blue and orange price signs, hung up our freshly printed poster, layed out brochures and business cards, and had a slideshow of photos from the garden going on a laptop.

Overall, it was a successful day.  We enjoyed talking with customers and telling them about the garden.  Many were interested in getting involved and pleased that we sold organic produce.  We hope to sell at the market again soon!
